Sometimes a room phone will stop working for no apparent reason. The first step we are able to try remotely is to reregister the phone port within the ATA. This is often enough to get the phone back online.

To do this, log into the ATA by typing it's IP into a browser. Then use the username and password below.

Once logged in, select Port from the left navigation menu

Once on the port menu, find the room number your looking for and check the box to the left. Once the box is select, press modify.

On the next screen uncheck the enable registration checkbox and press save at the bottom. Wait a few seconds and recheck the box, and then hit save again. After this the phone should be reregistered and at this point you should test the phone.

Additionally there are times where you may notice many phones at a property are frequently going down and needing a reregister. Sometimes this is due to a long uptime of the ATA, or it's just in a bad state and you should reboot the whole ATA.

To do this, navigate to Tools -> Device Restart on the left navigation menu. On the following screen press the device restart button. Wait a few minutes and the system should come online and phones can be tested.
